This study abroad program for educators and their families will be offered beginning the Summer of 2009. Participants will study Spanish at the Spanish by the River Spanish School or the Habla Ya Spanish School in Boquete, a beautiful highland community surrounded by natural and cultural wonders. We'll live with host families and enjoy a wide range of activities including traditional cooking classes, salsa dance lessons, hikes, and volunteer opportunities. Trip extensions and excursions to Caribbean islands, the Panama Canal, and indigenous communities will be possible as will additional weeks of study and volunteerism and alternate schools and locations.

College credit will be offered through Heritage Institute and Antioch University Seattle at 5 credits per week - see links below to a syllabus with draft itinerary for each week. It is possible to attend either week in isolation but participation in the full 2 week program is recommended. Contact information is available on the Registration Form, below.
